About Us
Prince Hall Masonry in Texas
St. John Union Grand Lodge of Texas stands as the ONLY Prince Hall Origin Grand Body in the State of Texas. Our origins are deeply rooted in the unwavering pursuit of brotherhood, enlightenment, and justice for African American men during times when such ideals came at great cost.
Formed in the spirit of unity and resilience, St. John Union Grand Lodge was established to bring together lodges across Texas that shared a common commitment to the moral, spiritual, and social principles of Freemasonry.
Named in honor of Saint John the Baptist and Saint John the Evangelist—patron saints of Freemasonry—our Grand Lodge represents both the historical light and the future hope of our noble craft.
